LPW’s brave duo raises nearly £1000 for cancer charities

12 Sep, 2017

Two of LPW’s intrepid team members have raised over £900 for Men United - Prostate Cancer UK and North West testicular cancer charity Baggy Trousers UK.  They took on and beat the 12k Tough Mudder endurance course at Malpas, Cheshire, on Saturday 9th September, finishing in under 5 hours.

Will Dawbarn, LPW’s Supply Chain Administrator, and Ciaran Farrell, Production Team Leader, decided to brave the tricky rotating barriers, the slippery pyramid and the intriguingly named arctic enema, among other obstacles, to raise money for the two charities closest to their hearts.

“We were keen to do the course, which features really challenging hurdles all the way through, and then live electric wires delivering 10,000 volts for the closing sprint,” said Ciaran.  “We knew if we ran ToughMudder to raise money for the causes closest to our hearts right now we’d have even more motivation to complete it.”

“We got fit, got wet, raised money and contributed to beating cancer,” added Will.  “We’re delighted with the amount raised, and want to thank everyone who has supported us with donations and encouragement.”

Between them, Will and Ciaran have raised £915.  There’s still time to donate, just follow the link www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/lpw-technology.
