LPW are finalists in the Manchester Evening News Business Awards 2015

09 Oct, 2015

We are absolutely delighted to announce that we have been shortlisted as finalists in the Manchester Evening News (MEN) Awards 2015. LPW Technology has been selected from over a hundred North West businesses to contest this highly acclaimed award and will be up against two other worthy finalists, Commando Joe’s and MAD Ltd.

The thorough selection process started several months ago with the completion and submission of a detailed business questionnaire, followed by a visit to our company site from the MEN’s judging panel.

As finalists, we have now been invited to meet once again with the judges. This will involve giving a company presentation followed by a Q & A session with the judging experts. In addition to the presentation the MEN have arranged for a film crew to come and spend some time with LPW. This film footage will then be shown at the awards evening to introduce LPW as a finalist.

The awards evening will be held at The Midland Hotel, Manchester on 12th November, where the winners will be revealed. We are all looking forward to it and are hoping to be hailed as “Winners”.

LPW Managing Director, Dr Phil Carroll, was recently voted Entrepreneur Of The Year at the Halton Business Awards 2015. It would be a fantastic achievement to gain another prestigious award in the same year and to think that just a few years ago Dr Phil Carroll was in the early stages of establishing LPW and working from his kitchen table. He is exceptionally proud to have grown a thriving global business now employing 45 people.

MEN Associate Editor Adam Jupp said:

“The quality of entrants this time around was truly exceptional and made the shortlisting process extremely hard. All finalists can be hugely proud of their achievements so far and all the judges are looking forward to hearing more from them. Picking a winner for each category will be no easy task.”

LPW Managing Director, Dr Phil Carroll said:

“I am thrilled that LPW Technology have been shortlisted for this prestigious award. I am passionate about the potential for our technology, 3D printing, to revolutionise people’s lives. The technology is used in the medical field, for example hip implants and prosthetic limbs, in making air travel greener and enabling British engineering companies to be cost effective against cheaper overseas competition. I am also proud to be committed to apprenticeship schemes, funding further education for my staff and supporting local, lesser known charities. It’s important to me that we are a business of integrity and we are proof that a business can thrive whilst staying true to its principles. Recognition for this nomination must go to my outstanding team for their continued efforts”
