LPW Technology have released their latest software as part of their unique Total Powder Management (TPM) for the Additive Manufacturing industry, to great acclaim.
POWDERSOLVE software has already exceeded the expectations of industrial partners, who are required to maintain full traceability of powders, products, equipment and operators, when manufacturing using any form of metal Additive Manufacturing.
The unique software has been developed to meet the challenges faced by the medical and aerospace industries with rigorous traceability requirements.
POWDERSOLVE has also been embraced by research centres investigating the effect of powder degradation and mechanical properties during the Additive Manufacturing processes, storing the chemical and mechanical test results in a single location.
This gives the operator simple and instant access to all data stored.
LPW’s Commercial Director Phil Kilburn, said the innovative software has been greatly received.
“POWDERSOLVE does exactly as the name suggests – it solves the problems created by powder traceability. This unique software takes away the unknowns, offers the user total control and removes any ambiguity from the manufacturing process.”
“It is another example of LPW listening to the problems of their customers and offering a solution. There is great demand for POWDERSOLVE.”
POWDERSOLVE software stores all activities and processing of the powder in a controlled manner, with all activities being logged and any changes to data being recorded.
This gives confidence that the data stored has not been tampered with and gives a true history of events. The POWDERSOLVE history flow chart enables the user to quickly and simply retrieve data for a specific build or component. POWDERSOLVE then enables the users to trace back powder history or investigate other products that have been manufactured using the same powder batches.
POWDERSOLVE offers full traceability of the powder’s history with regards to when the powder was blended, who blended the powder and the percentages of the batches that were blended.
The POWDERSOLVE software has been developed to be a standalone software solution giving an inventory of powders and their locations as well as logging machine usage and availability. But it can also be customised to link in with established QMS and ERP systems.
POWDERSOLVE is part of LPW’s innovative Total Powder Management (TPM). TPM starts with LPW supplying the virgin metal powder, carefully monitoring it during reuse within the Additive Manufacturing machine, all the way through to scrapping and disposal.
This innovative system revolutionises the way Metal Powders are used in Additive Manufacturing resulting in consistency, low risk, repeatable use and high yields for the customer.
LPW are a highly skilled, award winning team at the forefront of the Additive Manufacturing industry providing world leading Metal products and support to blue chip companies within the Aerospace, Medical, Defense, Energy and Automotive Industry.
